Bill Russell, five-time NBA MVP and 12-time NBA All-Star, is acclaimed as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He is highly recognized for revolutionizing defensive play and brought the Boston Celtics to 11 championships during his 13 years with the team. Russell led the league in rebounding for four years and over the course of his career accumulated 21,620 rebounds, at an average of 22.5 per game. 2007-08 Topps Basketball celebrates the achievements of this ground-breaking NBA legend with cards highlighting Russell’s accomplishments from 1958-1969, a period in which Topps basketball cards were not produced.
